Note: The Account Confirmation section only appears if the sponsor supports this feature.
Note: Unless otherwise noted, you must have a security level of 0400 to modify information about a subscriber's account.

Account Description |
A description of the account. |
Account Type![]() |
The type of bank account. These values are:
Note: Depending on the sponsor's setup, savings accounts may be used to fund bill payment account transfers. They cannot be used to fund payments or promotional credits. |
Account Usage |
Indicates whether the account has been designated as a personal or a business account. Valid values are Personal and Business. |
Add Date | The date the account was added to the system. |
Bank Name | The name of the financial institution holding the account. |
(E) | Unlabeled. An indicator that is placed at the end of a Bank Account/Name when the account is an external Demand Deposit Account(DDA) or Money Market Account(MMA). |
Billing Account |
Indicates that the account is the primary account to be charged for billing purposes. Note: This field cannot be changed for savings accounts, as they cannot be used as the billing account. |
Currency Type | The type of currency being used (for example, USD = U.S. dollars). |
EPS Account Usage | Indicates the way in which the account is used for e-mail
payments service. Valid values are Send and Receive Payments(R), Send
Payments Only(S), and spaces if the account is not enabled for bill payment
services. Any additional accounts will, by default, be set to S.
Note: Only one of the subscriber's accounts can be designated as the primary account for e-mail payments service (Send and Receive Payments). Note: After an account has been set up for both receiving and sending payments, you cannot directly change the selection from Send and Receive Payments(R) to Send Payments Only(S). Instead, another account must first be set to R. This account is set to S automatically as soon as the other account is designated as primary. |
FIF Code | Code derived from the routing transaction information. Valid values are Electronic(E), Paper(P), and B for both electronic and paper. |
Maintenance Date | The most recent date the account was modified. |
Phone | The bank's contact phone number. |
Preferred Account |
Indicates whether the account is the subscriber's preferred account (the account that appears first in the subscriber's list of payment accounts in the user interface). Valid values are Yes and No. Sponsor Care allows accounts with a type of Demand Deposit Account(DDA) or Money Market Account(MMA) to be designated as the preferred account. To change which account is the preferred one, change this field to Yes for the account you want to be the preferred one. Sponsor Care automatically changes this setting for all other accounts to No. Note: This field only applies if the subscriber has more than one payment account available. If only one account exists, the value is unchecked. Note: Designating an account as preferred is optional in the user interface. |
Status | The status of the bank account. Valid values are:
Note: For accounts in Inactive or Primary Acct. Changed status, the only modifiable fields are Authorized for Online Bill Payment and Authorized for Online Banking. Selecting either of these fields changes the status back to Active. |

Electronic Account # | The subscriber's electronic account number with the financial institution. |
Electronic RTN | The electronic routing transit number used to identify the financial institution. During enrollment, this field will default to the paper RTN. |
Paper Account # | The subscriber's paper account number with the financial institution. |
Paper RTN | The financial institution's paper routing transit number. |
Account Confirmation Information Section | |

Description |
Confirmation Source | This field does not appear
until the account is confirmed. Method or source of information used to confirm the subscriber's access to this account. Valid values are Customer Care, Existing (an existing account, which does not require further confirmation), Sponsor, and User. |
Confirmation Status | The status of the account in the confirmation process.
Valid values are:

Received Amount Remaining | After the account is confirmed,
this field no longer appears. The dollar limit on payments deposited into this account while it is in an unconfirmed status. This running total is reduced by each deposit into the account. (Promotional credits and account confirmation credits are not factored in, so these transactions do not reduce the running total.) When the amount reaches zero, no further payments can be deposited; the subscriber is notified that money cannot be deposited into the account, and the money is returned to the sender. Note: There is a limit on the total amount that can be deposited into an unconfirmed account. After confirmation, this limit is no longer in effect. |
Sent Amount Remaining | After the account is confirmed,
this field no longer appears. The dollar limit on payments from this account while it is in an unconfirmed status. This running total is reduced by each payment from the account. When the amount reaches zero, no payments can be sent until the account is confirmed. Note: There is a limit on the total amount that can be drawn against an unconfirmed account. After confirmation, this limit is no longer in effect, although there may be other payment limits based on the subscriber's credit rating. |

Address 1* | The address information associated with the account. This field defaults to the subscriber's address. |
Address 2* | The additional address information associated with the account. This field defaults to the subscriber's address. |
Authorized for Online Bill Payment | Indicates whether the account is authorized for online
bill payment services. This option is selected when the subscriber's service
code supports online bill payment.
Note: If this field is not selected, then all other fields associated with the service must be blank. |
Business Name* | The business name associated with this account, if any. This field defaults to the subscriber's business name. |
Check Number* | The starting check number used when issuing a payment
from this account. The default value is 5000.
Note: You can modify this field if your security level is 0200 or higher. |
City* | The city associated with the account. This field defaults
to the subscriber's city.
Note: You can modify this field if your security level is 0200 or higher. |
Country* | The country code associated with the account. This field
defaults to the subscriber's country code.
Note: You can modify this field if your security level is 0200 or higher. |
Primary Name* | The primary name associated with the account. The field
defaults to the subscriber's last and first names. If the subscriber is
a business subscriber, the business name appears.
Note: You can modify this field if your security level is 0200 or higher. |
Secondary Name* | The secondary names associated with this account, if
any. This field defaults to spaces.
Note: You can modify this field if your security level is 0200 or higher. |
State* | The state associated with the account. This field defaults
to the subscriber's state.
Note: You can modify this field if your security level is 0200 or higher. |
Status | The status of the online bill payment account. Valid values are Active(A), Inactive(I), and Primary Acct. Changed(H). |
ZIP Code* | The ZIP Code associated with the account. This field
defaults to the subscriber's ZIP Code.
Note: You can modify this field if your security level is 0200 or higher. |
*These fields are not availabe for savings accounts (Account Type of Savings Deposit Account(SDA)).
Financial Tools Information Section | |

Authorized for Financial Tools |
Indicates whether CheckFree Financial View is an active service for this account. If it is an active service, the check box is selected. Otherwise, the check box is cleared. Note: This field appears (and information on whether a subscriber is using this product is available) only when the sponsor offers CheckFree Financial View to its subscribers. |

banking services. This option is selected when the subscriber's service
code supports online banking.
Note: If this field is not selected, then all other fields associated with the service must be blank. |
May transfer funds FROM this account | Indicates whether the Bank Online account may be used as the source account for a transfer. |
May transfer funds TO this account | Indicates whether the account may be used as the destination account for a funds transfer. This field defaults to selected if account type is DDA, unselected for all others. |
Status | The status of the online banking account (A for active, I for inactive). |
User may download Statement Inquiry | Indicates whether the account is eligible for sending statement data to the subscriber's PC. |
