biller
The entity that sends electronic bills to and receives payments from
consumers for goods or services. Examples include utilities, credit card
companies, and cable companies.
A record of a customer's contact with the payee
or sponsor organization regarding any bill-payment
issue.
case management
The functions of CheckFree Customer e-Care that allow you to create,
modify, search for, and view cases.
co-subscriber
A person given access to the bill payment service on behalf of a customer.
A customer's CO-subscriber can perform all of the same functions as the
customer.
e-bill service activation
A request to begin e-bill service for a customer.
merchant
The entity that sends bills to and receives payments from consumers
for goods or services. Examples include utilities, credit card companies,
and cable companies.
payee
The person or company that a subscriber is paying. A payee can be either
a biller or a merchant.
recurring model
A record containing the details of a repeating payment of a fixed amount
made at regular intervals to a designated payee.
sponsor
The entity offering CheckFree's e-commerce services through a user interface.
A sponsor may be a bank, credit union, brokerage, Internet portal, or
third-party software or solutions vendor.
